I went to a local salvage yard and looked around. After a lot of consideration, my being 77 was one of them, plus I do a lot of work on antique Coke machines, I've decided that since I don't drive this truck 250M a year, It is foolish for me to try this swap by myself and the fact that I will not get my money back. It's a shame as the engine, transmission, new clutch, throw out bearing, pressure plate, and new sides on the bed, that I'm going to try to sell it. I'm posting this because I really do appreciate all the feedback, and I want to thank all those that chimed in.

I'm in the same boat right now I thought my truck was in great shape until I found a bunch of rust in my firewall seams. The rest of the body is excellent and I have too much time and money invested into it to quit now. So today i started cutting my cab apart to fix it. In the end it will be better than ever but I'm still annoyed.
