Cab swap
I have just purchased an 84 F-350 cab & chassis, my question is will another year cab and front end fit on this frame, I'm looking more for the 87 and up style. I know the front clips will interchange, but my cab is rusted, and I thought I could just change the whole thing out. Thanks.

I think that, the cabs, clips and bed will all work off of a later model truck physically. i think 80-96 are the same, in the 97+ i think they changed the body mounts, so i don't think those will swap.
So you should be able to swap cabs and clips, and whatever else you can get your hands on.

desperado is right, except the '92-96 front bumper won't bolt up to an older frame. It can certainly be done, but it'll take a little fabrication.
But by the time you do it, you could probably have bought a decent running newer truck for le$$.

Cab swap
I found a mint cab from an 85 f150 and swapped it on my 80f350. It was a much bigger job than I thought. The cabs were the same but the wiring, the clutch,rotted mounts,wow.All thats done Istill have a way to go with some other stuff. I had four friends help me lift the old one off and put the new one on. be ready for alot of work.
