If you talking about making patch panels for the cabs out of fiberglass I doubt it would work. It's pretty hard to get fiberglass parts to stick to metal. A lot of flex and there's no good bonding agents made. I don't know about the new metal on metal body panel glue but I don't think they work between two dissimilar materials. There's a lot of guys who try to bond glass hood scoops to metal hoods and between the different expansion rates of the materials while sitting in the sun and the vibrations I've see a lot of failures.

No, I meant entire cab sections, like the floor pan, roof, back, firewall and cowl, windshield, etc. All sections could be joined together. No dissimilar materials. Boats and kit cars are built like that.

I guess that's an option but us old truck guys are cheap SOBs, I doubt you could get the demand like the boat and kit cars. Those people like to spend money 💰

Just for grins I did a search on the local CL and found this for $600...cab with doors and glass and a bed with fenders.

The OP of the FB post had a few offers for cabs fairly cheap but they were all on the west coast. Just think of the time wasted trying to fix the rotted cab could be used to drive out and pick a nice cab out west and he'd still saving time.
