Doorknob screws

Hi,
So, my the doorknob on the steel door to my garage was a loose. Went to tighten it and one of the screws was gone. Of course, I can take it apart, but I wondered if they came in standard sizes -- especially since this is a steel entry door.

Thanks,

hj

Usually the screws come with the doorknob itself, unless it’s custom. If there isn’t another screw in the **** to take to the store to match, maybe look up the **** model online as it might list the screw specs

Actually got po'd and just took it apart. Reason that I hesitated was that I could just see the ONE screw zipping into the same place that spring clips like to go.. 8-32 x 1". Surprised that it was so short. Most interior doorknobs seem to have longer ones. It could actually be longer from what I could tell -- except that they're spaced so close to the center that it's hard to fit them in under the **** much less get them started -- GREAT DESIGN

I hear ya....need tiny fingers and tiny tools and good eyes to install one. Should be simple, but they’re always a pain. Never had one go in right...,

If they're steel screws I'd just use a magnetic screw driver to at least get them started---those types tools can be time savers.
