I am having a door put in the back of my garage that will go out to the backyard. I would really like for the door to swing out, but if I do that with a traditional hinge, somebody could come pop the hinge pins and be in the garage. Is there a hinge that I could use to have the door swing out, but where the hinge is hidden, or built in such a way it can't be defeated? Hope this makes sense, thanks for the help!
There are several methods of securing the outswinging hinge including crimping or welding the hinge pin, securing the pin with a setscrew that is accessible only when the door is open, or a extended pins on the face of one plate that seat into holes in the mated plate so that the pins lock into the holes when the hinge is closed.

Just weld the pin in. If you can't do it run it to a welding shop and have them hit it. Cost ya a few bucks but will solve your problems. The hinge will still work but they won't be able to punch the pin out.
I was thinking about welding the pin in, I was just worried about the inability to take the pin out if I need to remove the door for any reason, but I guess I could just unscrew the hinge out of the door frame.
project...thanks for the link, I will look into those methods.

I had the same problem when they put a new front door on my shop and they used a house door and not a commercial door so I had to weld the pins, but you can get commercial hinges that are sealed.
In the past I have welded the hinges to whatever so they could not be unscrewed or unbolted. or tack welded the nuts to the bolt holding the hinge.
If the hinge is external they can just take a hacksaw and cut the pin in a few places to remove the door even if you tack weld it to a hinge. Just weld up a box of 12 gauge around the hinge is it is not visible.
They make a security hinge for out-swinging doors. Local locksmith or any good hardware store should be able to fix you up. If you are buying a new door it should have these hinges in place.
