I own a 2000 Explorer Sport and I've been having a problem with my airbag light flashing code 3 pause 7. Having read some messages previously posted in April, I unfastened the wiring under the passenger seat and reconnected them. However, I still receive the same code on startup. This is becoming a big problem now b/c I am trying to sell the vehicle and am getting hit with a 2000 dollar difference b/c the dealership says that is how much it will cost them if they have to replace the whole airbag system. Before I take it into a Ford Dealer and have it looked at, are there any suggestions. The wiring looks fine and does not seem to be torn apart or damaged in any other way. The metal connection attached to the seat looks fine except for some minor surface rust. Could this be a factor? Any help would be appreciated.
