My '59 F100 came without the front bumper. I have acquired a chrome bumper from LMC, but I am in need of the mounting brackets. i have searched the web and Ebay, but no luck. Any ideas where I might be able source those brackets? Thanks.
I went through the same situation when I replaced the stock front bumper on my '58 F-100. I installed a '59-60 bumper that required the unique shaped brackets. I was unable to find anybody that offered reproductions so I had to resort to locating a set of used brackets which is probably what you will have to do. There are a few used truck parts dealers on ebay that you might try calling, even though they might not have them listed. Terry's F-100's in Stromsburg, Nebraska (402) 366-7848 is another possibility.
The above picture shows the two brackets in case you haven't already seen these elusive critters. They actually bolt to the outer sides of the frame rails. Other options include making them yourself or putting a "wanted" or "In Search Of" ad in the appropriate FTE classified section.
Thanks for that information, and especially, thanks for the photo. I had not seen the actual brackets before. I have been regularly looking on eBay, but no luck so far. I will try your suggestions. Thanks again.
