That's an interesting point. Never had a truck with a warranty so never had to worry about it but it's something to remember if I have to get something fixed with the 3/36000 warranty. Thanks for the tip!
i was searching for a new Lariat and they all had the double moon roof. I told them that i would not buy the truck even if not charged for the moon roof. Cutting holes in the roof is not a good idea to me. I had one in an Explorer.
Before trying to open the sunroof, always tip up the roof, beforehand. Also, lube seals with krytox, to prevent sticking.

I always tipped it up before opening and it had a slight resistance to it like a pop. I bought some Krytox and lubed the rubber all the way around the front portion. Smooth as silk when it opens now.
