Sunroof

2017 SuperDuty Lariat, sunroof motor or drive gears (or something) making noise when activated. Any ideas??

Take it to the dealer before the warranty is up.

Dealer.
Make sure to ask if they warranty the repairs they do beyond the 3/36000

That's an interesting point. Never had a truck with a warranty so never had to worry about it but it's something to remember if I have to get something fixed with the 3/36000 warranty. Thanks for the tip!

Very interesting and I really feel bad for you.

i was searching for a new Lariat and they all had the double moon roof. I told them that i would not buy the truck even if not charged for the moon roof. Cutting holes in the roof is not a good idea to me. I had one in an Explorer.

Love the moonroof. Just requires maintenance and awareness like any other piece of machinery.

I always tipped it up before opening and it had a slight resistance to it like a pop. I bought some Krytox and lubed the rubber all the way around the front portion. Smooth as silk when it opens now.
