So it’s hard to explain exactly what it’s doing but basically it’s stumbling and the engine acts like it does for a second and picks back up. Basically drops 500rpm then instantly picks it back up. It’s a 92 bronco with 5.8 auto. I have so far replaced the tfi module, distributor, cap, rotor, plugs wires, coil, and tps cleaned the egr and the iac (both were fairly clean. You can see it in the video below on the tach. It does it at idle but is worse under power. I’m at my wits end.
It wasn’t throwing any codes I checked it multiple time I did get a 171, 172, 173 and 181 after changing the distributor. Indicating 3 o2 sensors lean and the egr insufficient flow. Also pulled vacuum on it today from 2 spots cruise control and booster turned everything on turned ect and I’ve got 17 lbs at idle. For a truck with 171k on it that’s not bad. Where too next
My code book shows all four of those codes are for the oxygen sensor: not switching, lean, rich and lean at part throttle. How old is the oxygen sensor? There is only one sensor located in the crossover tube in the Y pipe.
