Anyone upgraded the standard headlights to LED? Can you swap the standard OEM headlights for the OEM LED headlights? Are they plug and play or is the swap more involved?
It's a lot easier to buy the truck with the stuff you want than trying to retrofit afterwards fellas. However, headlightrevolution.com is a GREAT resource for LED bulbs in non-led headlight housings. They have a decent spread and won't blind oncoming traffic. Reasonably priced. I used them on a few of my Cummins trucks and they worked great.

That is why LEDs, power steps, uppfitters were must haves for me, less time and money to get them factory installed.
I followed the how to thread below to install the factory LED headlights and taillights. Happy that I did just wished I had ordered mine with them from the factory to save a thousand bucks and days worth of time researching and installing.
For the love of God, please don't get the ones that fit in the original housings. Most of them I've seen look light bright-azz flood lights. Blind the hell out of you.

Hahaha! As much as people love the beamtechs and whatever other LED in the halogen housings people are using; I thought they were terrible. Like you said scattered light and a very unpleasant light color. The OEM LEDs are much better IMO.

Yep...the worst thing you can do is put LED or HID's into a housing designed for Halogen bulbs.
such a horrible idea!! they look like garbage scattered on the road!! theres 0 light focus, just blinding mess that pisses other motorist off.
You said it but the statement is a fact. Here in Texas we call it the "bubba" factor. These guys are happy as a pig in you know what and think they really have a great set of lights. In fact, they are crap and blind but for the most part they do not care or some legitimately do not know any better. Easy to tell as well. It is also a good excuse to get pulled over!
