Stock Stereo?
First question, did I have a stock Stereo? The hole appears to not be cut. See picture.
Second, where did the stock speakers go? See other pics. It appears speaker holes were cut. Is this where the stock ones went? Will they fit in these cutouts?
Lastly, if I did have a stereo stock I'd like to get one of those retro ones with modern features. One catch, they need the stock radio bezel. Where would I get one?

First question, impossible to say. It has the hole in the dash for a factory radio, but they also had a radio delete plate that would have been installed without the radio. As I understand it your dash had been "cut" to clear an aftermarket radio install. Fortunately it wasn't cut much, there would normally be two brackets in the radio hole that the shafts on the stock radio would go through for mounting the radio to the dash, then the bezel would install over the radio.
Second Question, stock radio was under the center of the dash. Looking at the last picture, you see the holes in the top of the dash. The stock speaker would have been bolted in right there aimed up at the windshield and that's the only stock speaker location for a 67-69. The other cutouts you mentioned so look like they were meant for speakers, but they were not stock.
Lastly, I'm not sure of anyone makes a radio like you want for the 67, it was 1 year only and smaller than later years. Best chance to find a 67 bezel is eBay, or search the various forums and Facebook groups.
I had a '67, I cut the tabs off(for the *****) and used a DIN mount adapter. If actually worked out pretty well, the radio bezel covered it fine and looked good. I didn't have to hack the dash to make it to fit like your PO.
You are going to have to do some metal work to get anything to fit correctly and fix the mess you have.
Radio Conversion Products: FMC-1 FM Tuner (FM Mono) The FMC-1 is very small and unobtrusive, so small in fact that it can be mounted entirely in the head of a 1953-1959 Ford F100 radio. The FMC-1 can be used in all installations with a working radio.
Would just require making the brackets, clean the metal and bond them in.
