Trying to find specs on these tires... procomp website offers none. I want to go either a 285/75/16, 295, or a 305/70/16 but dont know if they will fit without a lift (03 f250 crew 4x4 v10)
I found 305/70/16's to be the same as a 33/12.5/16 and spec out to 32.6 dia. 12.6 total width 10.1 tread width and able to fit an 8-10" wheel. Is this correct?
anyone know if these will be ok on stock wheels?
also curious if anyone can tell me what the 285/75/16, and 295's are equal to and what the specs are?
procomp dosnt even list a 295 let alone specs...
im confused

stock rims are 7", some places dont want to mount 295s on 7" rims and definately not on 305s. Some places will though and there are people running them on stock rims so it depends on where you go. With the stock backspacing more than likely 305s will rub and 295s might depends on the tire, ive heard somewhere about people running 305s and no rub and some say 295s rubs on other tires *shrug* I probably havent helped any, I havent seen the procomps in use myself so I cant say for sure about them

according to straight up math conversions 285/75/16 should be 32.8x11.2 but the 7" rim and sidewall flex, etc will probably skew those numbers. 295s are 11.6" theoretically, 295/70R16 would be 32.2x11.6

I don't think that they make a 295 for that tire.

I thought that most 295s were 75 series, not 70. In other words, about 34x11.50 for a 16.

Try www.procomptires.com, there's plenty of specs but not for the new 285.

Keep in mind that both these tires are D rated, which may be a problem with your heavy V-10. Or maybe not.

I seem to remember that the 305 costs much more than the 285, not really worth it for an extra inch of width.

For that reason and the fitment issue, I would go with the 285s.
