C6 Transmission
Guys! I've got problems. I need a new transmission. I have an 85' Ford Bronco (full size). It has a 351W, with a 3 speed C6 transmission. Now the VIN sticker says I have a type K transmission. I have found many resources to get a new transmission. But my question is: Can I install a non-type K C6 transmission in my Bronco? For instance I have found a C6 from an 86' Bronco, but it is a type H; same with the F-150 and F-250. Any info at all would be great...thanks.

There are different C6's out there with diferent input shafts and gearing...
so tread the waters carefully before commiting your hard earned cash...
I would take it in and get it rebuilt by a reputable shop and have them install a trans go shift kit, and a heavy duty torque converter.
