DPF Replacement
Has anyone done this yet? I have read average lifespan on these is 100-125k (correct me if Im wrong) Im at 132k so beginning to think about it. I would delete but I live in Mass where they do test for readiness at annual inspection. Seems like a relatively straight forward job. One question - the factory service manual says after replacing to do a DPF system parameter reset, SCR parameter reset and clear continuous PCM DTCs/reset emissions monitors information in the PCM. Can these three functions be done through forscan?
Also are there any good sources for a new DPF? Thank you

Pretty sure if you ask in the forums or FB groups you will easily be able to find someone that will sell you their low mileage DPF. Plenty of guys are wanting to delete, and i'm sure they would love to offset the costs.

Interesting and good to know they should last closer to 250k. I will look into cleaning as well - didnt know that was an option. None of my trucks have ever had the def and dpf system so this is all new to me.

Ford dealers sell their version of the spray. This is something that I don’t think you would want to do numerous times. I’d say clean it at 80,000 mile intervals would be a good guess. Over cleaning will result in excess and unnecessary wear.
