running without front lock out hub assembly

I bought my 2013 F250 Super Duty a couple weeks ago and wanted to look at the front hubs since they looked corroded (chrome was half gone) and I discovered that there were some small plastic pieces broken so I ordered some new OEM ones, question is can you drive the truck without the hub guts in the hub? Will it hurt anything? The new ones are a week out and I'm going to need the truck before then, I have the cover on but all the guts are on my work bench.

Thanks

The 4wd hub helps hold the stub shaft in line but the wheel bearing has a needle bearing in it that mostly supports the stub shaft. I did this on my 2004 for about a week or so (short distance driving no highways ) and I didnt have an issue
