Front hub questions

Hello everyone, im happy to be a new member

I have a question about the Warn hub on my '92 F150, when removing it I wasn't paying attention to which way the inner part of the hub is put in (the part that the stop screw holds in). It is recessed on one side and i think this goes to the inside, am i correct? Also is there a bearing in the hub body I should be serviceing?

Thanks for any help!

I think the recessed part goes to the outside, but not 100% sure. Take a look at the cover. The part you turn to lock the hubs is on a ramp and pushes the inner part of the hub inwards. When this happens this part should then mesh with other parts of the hub assembly to lock the wheel. You shoud be able to figure out which way it right with a little examination.

I believe there are two bearings in there one on the outside and one on the inside. While you have it out you may as well take em both out and repack them and grease the whole thing up. I know there is a nut in the back somewhere that needs to be tightened a certain way if i were you i would buy a manual and make sure you put it all together right. And while you are that far it i'd replace the seal(s) as well.
