Manualy control GPCM

I have an idea how, but what is a good way to turn the controller off in the summer and on in the winter? Not a push button style but a rocker switch to cut or allow power to the controller.
Seen a ton of posts for 6.9 and 7.3s but no 6.0s.
My idea was to use an old starter solinoid and control the 12v wires. That would essentially make them one at that point but it shouldn't matter.
Could interrupt the pcm ground, however I don't like doing that.

^^^ Like he said, it's already doing that. No sense in monkeying with it. All you're going to do is set a bunch of codes.
