Picked up a low mileage 2018 F250 CCSB 6.7 two days ago. Noticed a little water near the front and rear passenger door during test drive. Mentioned it to sales manager (got them to make me a “we owe” just in case it was indeed a water leak. It was raining very heavy while looking at it). They agreed to fix the possible water leak so I took the deal. Next day, I begin investigating. WAY more water than I thought. Long story short(er), water of filling the cable tray and being wicked up by the carpet and underlayment.
Water is entering cab behind the kick panel ONLY while pouring water on top corner of windshield.
I have read where folks have had factory windshields that weren’t sealed correctly(my windshield is NOT OEM) and I have read about body panels that were not sealed correctly. Anyone with prior experience please chime in!
Do search here. I've posted several times of water in the same area on my truck. Was some rubber plug way up in the passenger kick panel that were not installed correctly. Probably very rare. Some say moonroof drains. No water since dealer found and corrected.
Dealership sent a glass guy out who removed and resealed the glass. He found a 3-4” section where the glue wasn’t making contact with the glass! Leak checked it the next day and no more leak!!!!
Go to Lowe's and get yourself a dehumidifier with pump and set it in the truck for a couple/three days.
Great idea! Already ahead of you though! Being an auto detailer, I used my extractor to remove most of the moisture. Propped up the damp carpet and ran a blower inside with the windows down for two days(85+ degrees), then ran my ozone machine for a few hours. Dry and odor free!!

I tried to get the chrome windshield trim back in place today and had a hell of a time with it. I filed and bent those clips several times and they just won't work. I even damaged one of the trim pieces trying to make it fit so I guess I've got to take a ride to the junkyard for new windshield trim. I was getting pissed as I was scratching the windshield frame by removing and reinstalling them so many times to adjust them. They look like they are the right clip but they are ever slightly different than the original ones. So anyways I ordered some clips that look more similar to the originals from Bronco Graveyard. I'll take a ride up the junkyard and get some new windshield trim and I guess I'll touch up the paint inside the windshield frame even though you don't really see it.
