I was replacing my water pump today and as I was taking the bolts out, I was placing them in the new pump as they came out of the old. While cleaning off the old gasket, I turn around and see my 4 year old standing next to me with most of the bolts in his hands!
Is there a chart or picture anyone has that shows what bolts go where?? I think I got most figured out except the bottom ones. I also have one extra, but it looks like all the rest!!
Don’t worry, I didn’t fuss, it was my fault for leaving it down low.
My lab has many nick names. One is "Lug Nut", because he once did just what your son did, except I was working on my transfer case. Now I make a map/diagram, and use a gold or silver Sharpie to mark every fastener before they go in a box or zip loc.
1nd pic I believe for a 351M 400?
2rd pic I also believe 351M?
Let up know what you get figured out. I always take a piece of cardboard and map it out as far a bolt placement. Like the gasket.
Just remember...I believe a couple just go in/thru the pump and then into thin cover plate behind it.
