I use a Prodigy P3 with very good results. Check to make sure it will wire up to your truck.

I have and like a Tekonsha P2 in my '65 and my '02 for use with a fiver and occasional gooseneck. For about $15 more you can get a P3. You'll have to read through the features of each to see which you prefer. I imagine you'll have to do the wiring from scratch. Probably want a resettable circuit breaker.

I know this post is a little old but in case someone is researching, the absolute BEST controller I ever had was the Redarc Tow Pro Elite, it's a little pricey but definitely worth it. I actually removed it from my old truck and replaced it with a cheap timed pod unit before trade in just incase I would ever need it. Its actually sitting in my garage waiting for when I need it or the factory brake controller in my 2019 F350 ever goes out.

That thing will be obsolete before the Ford Controller goes out ! Just my opinion.

I don't know how a top grade proportional brake controller could become obsolete, it's not like a stereo or a computer. It has more function than the factory controller supplied with my new truck such as its switchable between normal proportional function to "off road" (applying full bias upon brake applications). It takes up less room than a penny on the dash and having owned and used it for years as well as others I can make this suggestion through experience. In the back of my mind I think about eventually getting a blank out plate for the factory supplied controller and installing the Redarc dial in that plate although I haven't looked into how I would do it or how it might interfere with the overall towing package. The OEM factory one is ok for now and I'm too busy putting other goodies on the truck but comparing the Ford OEM controller to the Redarc the Redarc renders the OEM...obsolete.
Here it is installed on my old truck.

That wasn't an opinion of the Redarc, it was to show that the Ford Brake Controller will prob never (go out) die.

I HOPE SO! Today was my second trip towing, the first was with my car trailer and Kubota tractor, this time my small toy hauler. The Ford brake controller worked flawlessly so the Redarc may be in the box for quite some time! With the power and handling of this wonderful beast of a truck I just told my wife that we'll probably be getting a bigger toy hauler.
