Rotors and pads

Sure its been asked before but, here it goes....
My 07 is due for new rotors and pads.. what have you had luck with and like? I have been looking at an ebc setup or powerstop. Drilled and slotted rotors.
Any input is appreciated!

I have not had much luck with the Powerstop kits with the 2 I have installed. I am going back to OEM.

I have always had great luck with Hawk pads and slotted, cryo treated rotors. They stop way better than stock and the cryo rotors last incredibly long.

Who did you get the rotors from? I see a few aftermarket companies that offer them.

I went back to Ford parts for my 2007. Couldn't be happier. Pad, rotors and calipers.

I always use only the OEM pads and rotors. Put the SD Severe Duty on my 2012 F-250 as I have been pulling our 36ft gooseneck thru the mountains quite a bite this last year. Great stopping power. Never been a fan of drilled or slotted rotors unless for racing as they get replaced quite often. Just my 2 cents

I have the powerstop rotors and pads front and back. Couldnt be happier with them. I noticed a big difference in stopping ability. However, I do not tow heavy and hardly put any mileage on my truck so I cant speak to how long they will last. They look great though.

I did summit racing's cross drilled and slotted for the front but had to go with Autozones brand for the rear because summit didnt offer any in their brand for the rear at the time...

one problem i did run into was i tried to go with ceramic pads at the time and ended up having problems with really poor braking... (was like almost not having any at all).. wasnt AZ pads.. that time i had gone with another company... back brakes would grip but not the front... which your front does the majority of your braking... it wasnt the rotors.. it was definitely the pads... after talking to a few i switched them out for AZ duralast gold Semi-metallics.. braking problems went away instantly... afterwards when i was talking to a couple shops about my experiences they said thats why on heavy duty trucks they advise against ceramic pads as they frequently ran across customer vehicles with the same complaint as i was having.. great for small cars and light duty trucks but not so good on the heavy duty ones...

I usually get them from Tire Rack. Not always the cheapest, but never had a problem.

I'm in the cryoed rotors, Hawk pads camp as well. I couldn't be happier with them. Being an old dude over the years I've tried most, so far cryoed rotors and Hawk pads have topped them all. I'm brutal on brakes, probably because I'm one of those high energy crazed drivers and tailgate so I'm always on the brake. Every combination that I've tried with the exception of what I have on the truck now has resulted in run-out or warped rotors or uneven wear on the pads. There is another thread on brakes, might be in the 6.7 forum. But someone who is way more knowledgeable than I said to stay away from cross drilled or slotted rotors as the person mentioned that you want as much of the pad hitting metal on the rotors as possible. That being said, for some reason I was convinced to go with slotted. I've always stayed away from cross drilled as I've seen the rotor crack between the holes. The cryoed rotors I used are Frozen Rotors - High Performance Brake Pads and Brake Rotors - Frozen Rotors

Duralast Max brake pads and Duralast Gold rotors for five maybe more years now in south Jersey winter salt and they are still looking brand new, zero dust, no brake wobble or nothing. They grab just as strong now as when I first installed them, rotors are holding up amazing with their zcoat finish. When it's time to replace them I will definitely go and order the same set from autozone
