2013 6.2

Anyone see any issue with buying a 2013 F250 Lariat Crew, 6.2 , with 175k miles on it? It looks clean. They are asking 19,500 for it. I am not sure how long these engines will go for.

I currently have a 2003 F350 with the 7.3 so I have been spoiled by it's reliability and longevity. My truck is falling apart around the engine.

Any input would be appreciated.

I believe that 2013 is the sweet spot for trouble free 6.2’s.

my 2012 6.2L has 167,000 miles.. and trouble free..

search here for < Flatbed Ed > his 2011 6.2L failed at 418,000 miles. only the camshaft failed...

I’d say it would go at least 300k if it’s taken care of. Flatbed Ed got 418k like Chuck said. Once in awhile a valve spring snaps or cats will clog but that’s it that I’m aware of.

With trucks I kept with a lot of miles, it was not the engine, it was everything else.

I wouldn't worry with that mileage if it was taken care of.

The best running truck I have is a 2012 6.2 with 189k. Picked it up two years ago with 153k.
