Highboy Np205 mixed up front yokes!
I have a 1975 f250 4x4 with the Np205. I removed the front, rear and intermediate shaft and sent them to the shop to replace the u joints. I took off the front yokes from the Np205 to replace the output shaft seals.
One yoke is a 3.220 u joint size, the other yoke is 3.620 u joint size. The front and rear axle u joint size is 3.620 at the axle. The yoke from the transmission is 3.220. Is it right to assume the smaller yoke is for the intermediate shaft and not the front driveshaft? I am assuming the 3.620 yoke is for the front driveshaft and not the intermediate shaft?
Thanks

I just replaced the u-joints on my highboy and the front driveline had smaller u-joints then my intermediate shaft off the transmission. My intermediate shaft has same size u-joints as rear driveline, I have been told, but I did not replace rear driveline u-joints yet. This was on my 77 F250, but I have a C-6 transmission. The u-joints for the intermediate were larger then front driveline

The yoke from my np435 tranny is 3.220 for the u joint at the intermediate shaft. So I would assume the yoke that goes to the input shaft of the np205 from the intermediate shaft would also be the 3.220 one, not the larger 3.620 u joint.
The front and rear axle cradles are 3.620 for the u joint. The rear output yoke from the np205 for the rear driveshaft is also 3.620. It would not make sense to me that the intermediate shaft would have 3.220 on the tranny end, and 3.620 on the transfer case end. It also wouldn't make sense to have the front driveshaft have the larger u joint up front, and smaller one at the transfer case? Unless I am missing something....?

I found that out after doing a few Google searches. It made it difficult to pinpoint my issue.
Another question. When I removed the large 1-5/16th nut from the yoke to remove everything, I did not find a rubber spline seal underneath, that I've seen under the nut and washer on some disassembly videos online.
I have the rubber spline seals that I purchased anyways. Should I install it before I set the washer and nut on the yoke, or leave it how it was without it?
