Something of a minor heat wave in my area this week. Those of you who live in the Southern US, what do you use to keep your Super Duty shaded from the sun when it has to be parked outdoors all day?
The Covercraft "custom" F250/350/450 windscreen sun shade I bought is comically small for the truck. Who makes a good one that fits?
I have ceramic film on all of my windows including the sunroof, so I guess I have that part done.
Those of you in desert environments, do you leave the sunroof "popped" or the back window cracked to give the heat a chance to escape? I'm not sure what's better, to leave it closed up with the moonroof blocking energy, or to leave it partway open to let heat out.
If my truck is clean I put my cover over it. Other wise I use these to keep it cool - covers all windows (not just windshield) - they are reversible too, silver out in summer to reflect, black out in winter to absorb: https://www.weathertech.com/sunshade/
I was going to suggest ceramic window tint but you already have that. But, have you considered tinting the windshield also? They make some very light ceramic tint (like 80%) that you can tint the entire windshield with. It's light enough that it won't impair your vision at night.

The "full coverage" package looks great. So you bought this for your Super Duty and it fits well? I'm so disappointed that the Covercraft fits so poorly.
We are having a brief heatwave here too. I'm near the coast so dont usually have extended periods of hot weather. The sun is still intense at times. I wish I could have what's pictured above but unfortunately my driveway isn't even big enough for the truck. That weathertech sunshade set looks pretty good for keeping the rays out of the interior, I would be interested to know how well they hold up over time.

I also use the Weathertech Sunshades in the summer here in Cali. Fit is very sung into the window moldings. Kind of a PITA to put on and take off, but beats a sun bleached interior like my 2010 had.
I like the fold up like a tent style which is only about $10 at any autozone or whatever.. Fits under driver or passenger seat.
the accordian style is too bulky. weather tech too expensive
That's what I use at the moment, got it at Costco.
Today is the first time since owning the truck that I've really used the AC, I have to say I'm a little disappointed. Truck says outside temp is 98 degrees, with it set to Max AC the cab wasn't cooling off as much as I would have liked. I couldn't tell if it was the heat coming through the windshield or if the AC wasnt as cold as it needs to be. It was definitely cold air, not ice cold but cold.

Yes - they fit in the windows perfectly on my F350
