P0603
Edit:
Let me state this better........When I started this, I was tired and not seeing straight!
Out of the blue the truck started flaring going from 3-5 gear about 500 RPM's. I didn't think anything about it, since I run a hotter tune. Then the truck started shifting all over the place and was staying in certain gears longer.
I pulled the codes and the only thing that popped up was P0603. I cleared the codes and went on my way. Truck started acting a fool again and I pulled over and reflashed the PCM. Issues went away. Then the truck wouldn't start the next day when you first turn the key. I have to cycle it twice before I can start it. Pulled the codes again and P0603, P1000 and as stated above a code for a faulty ignition switch.
I flashed it back to stock and was still having the same issues.
Tonight 6/10/19 I put in a new ignition switch in, cleaned the battery posts, cables, cleared codes and reflashed the PCM with a strategy tune and then back to stock.
I started looking for avenues to pursue and came across an article on trouble shooting the transmission solenoids, According to the article a bad solenoid can put out interference that can wipe out the KAM! The article also stated that the KAM and KAPW circuits can be the issue. I can't seem to find a wiring diagram that shows those. I have also been told that a bad injector can do the same thing. The article also had a link to an article about the KAM side of the PCM failing internally.
How can you check that side of the PCM?
B1342 code is a common one, is that it? It can come from disabled door chimes (which I have done intentionally).
