I was reading what little there is about Trick Flow FE Heads. Sounded like there is a lot of extra work to get them to fit. They also flowed them with a 427 bore of 4.25 for a greater looking numbers VS Edelbrock bench flow at 390 bore 4.05. Huge diff on the test. I don’t really like the way they marketing them. Trick Flow knows exactly how Edelbrock tested there heads and what they put out for flow numbers. Trick Flow should have been up to the challenge and tested the same. MHO. As far as the 78-79 steering box install that is been done tons f is so on this site. That where’s I got the idea from. Lots of good write ups on the project.
Took the engine to the shop and brought the old rotating assembly home. The build will be 428 block 40 overwith Edelbrock Pro Flow 4 EFI, Edelbrock RPM aluminum heads 72cc and a big fat 4.25 Scat stroker kit. Will be getting Harland Sharp roller rockers and a hydraulic retro fit roller cam also. Just not sure what grind yet.
Iooking forward to the torque! Have a bite on my C4AE heads and HPC coated Edelbrock performer intake. My builder said that was choking my first build. Anyway as I go I will update.
Nice! I have 428 in my 75 frame off put 4600 miles on it decided to do uprgrade project. Fitech EFI,Dakota gauges, AOD automatic tranny, aluminum radiator, back up camera, LED all around.
