Truck Plug for Lance Camper Cord?

Truck Plug for Lance Camper Cord?
We very much like and enjoy our CampLite TC 6.8 truck camper. However, we’re now thinking we may want something a bit larger, especially considering our longer trips. The Lance 850 and 855S models look interesting, especially for a short-bed one-ton truck.
I understand that Lance uses a proprietary 6-pin connector on their truck campers to allow for cord sets with 8 AWG conductors for the +12 and common circuits.
How do you Lance owners adapt this cord set to your trucks’ 7-pin connectors? Did you just buy a 7-pin plug, attach it to the Lance cord, and then plug it into the truck? Or...?
Thanks!

Here is an explanation and description from Lance themselves. Part of it has to do with a heavier wire to care more current to the camper, but I'll let them be the experts. I had the dealership install it at delivery of our new 1062. The pics are ones I took of the male and female plug I took when our Lance 1062 arrived at the dealership in April.
