I ended up ordering a couple from a local dealer, should be here in the morning. From what I found these have a special thicker portion on the head end of the shaft of the bolt to help center it in the hole better than a standard bolt would. Part number is 392009-S100. It is a 12 mm x about 130 mm bolt. A normal 12 mm bolt of that length probably would be fine but nobody locally has anything that long in metric. They switched to larger 14 mm bolts on later trucks. Hated to spend that much for a bolt,$13.95 each, from a dealer but I need to get my truck up asap and can't wait all week for Amazon to deliver. Other than breaking the rusted power steering lines taking them off the install of the new box went well.
I installed the new bolts and tested it out. The new pressure hose is leaking at the pump. I see there is a nylon seal on the fitting that is supposed to butt up against the pump but I can't get it to thread in that far? Wrong hose or something stuck in the pump?

As I remember that hose should tighten down good and snug on the pump. Do you still have the old hose? Maybe try and see if it will run all the way in. Is yours diesel or gas. The diesel has a swivel type connector fitting. Maybe you have the wrong hose.
I think that I have the old one still I can try. Now that you mention it I think they gave me a hose for a hydroboost system which after looking a bit I don't have. I heard them say it but just thought it was a fancy Ford marketing term the manufacturers all use for their stuff. I'll pick up a new hose tonight just in case.
It ended up being the wrong hose. The hydroboost hose fitting end looks nearly identical to the correct hose. The difference is in the pitch of the threads. The hydroboost hose has a slightly bigger pitch to the threads. Installed new hose and made sure to not overtighten. Now my steering wheel is off center but I found the tech article about straighten it so I will work on that in a few days. Thanks for the help everyone!
