Steering gear box!
    The one in my '93 is leaking horribly! It appears to be from the pitman arm shaft seal, on the underside of the gear box. I see part listings for various steering systems seals. Please, someone tell me I don't have to replace the entire $300 gear box over this. Are the box seals removeable and replaceable?

You should be able to buy a seal kid from Advance or Auto Zone. I replaced the seals in my brothers 87 several years ago and I am quite sure it is still the same steering box. If I remember right there is an upper and a lower seal on that shaft. The hardest part was getting the pitman arm off, regular pullers wont work, you need a pitman arm puller. I straightend out the jaws on a set of regular pullers.
