I noticed today in my garage I have 2 decent size circles of oil up front on the passenger side. At first I thought it was the pan leaking in the front due to a bludging gasket (look at picture ) but after following the oil drips I landed at the CPS but it still looks higher then that I can't see from the top and once I get above the CPS I can't see anything. I bought this truck about a month ago and it seems like the warmer weather is springing leaks. This truck defiantly leaks I knew it did when I bought it due to the fact there is a bunch of oil residue on the front axel. At first it seems to oil leak while it's running and now it seems like it's leakinng while it sits.
Any suggestions. ?
Is that gasket going to be a problem or could it Be leaking and the fan throwing it up? Bunch of oil drips down the HB Can see the darker oil on the side
Could be as simple as an oil pump gasket/harmonic seal leaking. Great time to upgrade to a high flow Melling LPOP.
Or could be a bad HPOP resevoir gasket leaking, oil rail galley plugs as well.
Wash the engine really good with low water pressure and start looking around for leaks once is leaking.
Congrats on the new to you truck!! Have you checked the dipstick where it goes into the pan? If you're lucky, you can stop the leak by tightening the big nut a little. I got lucky with that once. If that's the leak and tightening the nut doesn't fix it, a search on here will find a cure. Good luck!
