Did I hear you say on video you have a hole in timing cover? Mine was trying to eat the cover before timing job . I have seen pics of lots of them with holes from the chains and wedged guide parts many in the very top by the phasers .I believe you can carefully weld them so as not to warp them from heat or epoxy them ,I don't know what a new one costs.
https://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/20...ing_cover.html dorman $149.

Yep! Large slot eaten away by the timing chain.
I was told that the timing chains were a dry system so I was not looking for an oil leak coming from there.
Most likely gonna replace the timing cover.

Well you know that means you need a full timing job. Your guides are broken and your tensioners not working . Plastic in oil pan and fibers jammed in oil pu reducing oil flow . New chain ratcheting steel tensioners melling ,guides ,new oil pump melling hv . Drop oil pan and see--clean out and pull oil pu -fibers are tuff to get out .They will not come out oil drain. You will have shiny alum grindings in sludge in bottom of oil pan . After cleaning oil pan and timing job do the new oil conventional cheap and change out after a few miles or days maybe with an engine flush then use good oil . There will be crap in oil after timing job , I did a flush before and after timing job .This engines oil flow system not good it needs melling hv oil pump and cleaned real good .Wally world mc filters are cheap .
Chain system better not be dry ever. Old style ratcheting tensioner still available and no gasket to leak . Factory oil pump not good and dash oil gauge reads mid scale for anything over 7 psi --its an idiot light- shame on ford for making it look like a gauge.Look at ford tech malukoco you tube on this engine ,you will learn a lot . Never use aftermarket phasers .

I have a mechanic working on the truck.
this is the first time I have ever had anybody else work on one of my cars but I just didn’t feel comfortable doing the timing chains on this motor.

I was going to say you have bigger problems than the seal by listening to the second video. I can clearly hear the chains rattling. Don't ignore noises on this engine.
