Is there another oil seal between the harmonic balancer and the
timing gear on an 86 300I6? I thought that the only oil seal was
the one on the timing cover. The book shows a crankshaft oil
slinger but I think that goes behind the crankshaft timing gear.
I have a bet with a friend of mine, he says there is another seal.

the only seal I know of after 2 years training toward ase is the front main seal, which is in the timing cover. The crankshaft oil slinger is behind the timing cover and throws oil onto the timing chain.
