Those side mount tool boxes.

I wonder if anybody can tell me if those optional side tool boxes as offered in 64-65 were factory installed or dealer installed. I think they were available either right or left side weren't they? I swear, it looks like a cave man cut the hole in the flank. Maybe the boys on the second shift on the Kansas City assembly line were havin' a party on the night the truck was assembled.

The side mount tool boxes for the '64 to '66 styleside could be factory or dealer installed or bought over the counter and installed by the customer. The factory only installed them on the passenger side, and that's what the instructions show.
