My 66 F100 has what looks like some sort of factory tool box on the driver side. ive looked at several other 65 and 66 f100 and f250s both 2 and 4 wheel drive and i have never seen another truck with one of these. Can somebody tell me if this was a factory option of some sort or if somebody just made this.
It'll be interesting to see what Bill has to say about it. He might say it was some kind of super secrete project built between ying & yang, prior to xxxxxxxx and is obsolete and no one has one.

Not genuine Ford. Created by a former owner.
The only "storage compartment" (aka tool box) available (as an option) was the type used on 1964/66 F100/250 2WD Styleside's / 1966 F100 4WD Styleside's.
It fit into the right quarter panel (bedside)...in front of the wheel.
There were two versions of this storage compartment. One was used with the short bed (C4TZ9946100A), a longer version (C4TZ9946100B) for the long bed.
