It shifts better but still hard. It gets a little better after it gets up to temp but I have only made 3 ea. 15-30 mile test runs. A guy from a transmission repair shop I spoke to asked me to come by, that my throttle pressure might need to be adjusted? But I have not been yet and I tend to avoid repair shops. Is this guy mistaken or is this something to E4ODs. Weather might be rolling in today but in the next week or so I have it in my mind to disconnect the wiring harness from the solenoid and try to clean any corrosion if present. Also does anyone have a good link for a how to on performing self tests? I intended to forget how to this after buying the reader I am waiting to get back.

624 is an electrical code for the Electronic Pressure Control (EPC) solenoid. It could be a bad solenoid, but most often is due to a short in the wiring between the PCM and the solenoid. This will cause harsh shifts.
I didn't say it's never the cause, I said it's rare.
You can do an electrical test on the harness. Check each wire to the EPC for continuity, short to ground, and short to power. Check the solenoid for resistance.
So with my exhaust in the way it was pretty difficult to get the epc or solenoid connector off. I pulled the whole harness because it’s raining outside right now. I buzzed each wire to the double connector. Does anyone have pin outs for the remaining connectors? Discerning wire colors is difficult. I also pulled the loom back and hand over handed the bundle looking for any breaks or areas of concern. I hope this means after I reinstall the harness, that I can do the remainder of the trouble shooting under the hood at the end of the harness instead of up on the side of the transmission.
