fuel problems
bought my excursion for 100$ it had been sitting behind a house in our neiborhood for 8 years.the gentleman had died and his daughter didnt know what to do with it. origanily she just gave it to me. i insisted to give her a token amount given to a charity of her chosen. it was prime. no rust 164000 miles. hell it had the origanal tires on it with good tread. ive since put tires all around as well as brakes and calipers all around and 1 rotor .ive given it a tune up which really helped the mpg. i also have put in front u joints?. it has a v 10 great at hauling has tow package i tell you just changing the spark plugs alone was something else.my problem now is i parked it out in front of my sisters came out after coffee and it wouldnt start. i checked the fuel rail no pressure.fuel pump i figured still wouldnt start was. after changing the fuel pump i checked fuel rail spurted out just fine. i also changed fuel filter.. still wouldnt start. i reset the inertia switch. still wouldnt start . i finnally gave up took it to mechanic. he said i was only putting out25 pounds pressure and that it should be putting out 45' it would run while sprayed starter fluid im. in the process of changing regulator .im stumped after this. any ideals?thanks in advance.
