Scratching my head over here. Truck has 105K on it and has been running fine with no hesitation or other signs of distress since I replaced the fuel pump which died and filter about 6 weeks ago. The other day it started right up as normal but died within a second or two. It wants to start but will not stay running...like it's not getting fuel. Spraying starter fluid in the intake will allow it to start and run without a miss until the starter fluid is gone--- if you pump the hell out of the go pedal while it's running it almost will stay running but dies... Fuel pump cycles normally when ign is switched on and disconnecting the fuel line at the filter shows decent pressure on either side is maintained after switch off.
I'm thinking the Fuel Pressure Regulator might be the culprit.
