Have problems started popping up on the 2019 5.0s or has Ford got the oil consumption issue sorted? I had my heart set on a 3.5EB but guess I'm gonna have to broaden my searches as I'm not finding just what I want with the 3.5.

Ummm, what is it that you can’t find in a F150 that’s equipped with the 3.5 EB.

Agreed. I would think the most option choices would be with the 3.5L EcoBoost.
Okay, I will start another thread to ask for help in finding my 3,5L EB truck. I have been reluctant to discuss actual dealers and pricing but maybe that is acceptable here? Meanwhile any issues popping up with the 2019 5.0 V8s?
So you are telling us the 3.5 EB is not available for 2019 that would be terrible I know the 5.0 long Block is being used to replace the oil consumption problem for the 2018 5.0

They are available, but Ford is really pushing the 2.7L (to keep CAFE down), so it can be tough to find a 3.5EB in the configuration that you want, when 3/4 of the trucks on the lot have the 2.7L.

Maybe this will help you.
Not all owners of the newer version of the 5.0 are having problems but clearly some have. With that being said, many owners of the newer 5.0 are "NOT" having problems.
As far as a F150 with the 3.5 EB, you still haven’t said what you’re looking for in a F150 equipped with said engine option.
If you start another thread/posting asking for help in finding a F150, it would help if you post more of what you want in a new F150 instead of just a specific engine.
First let me say that there is not a thing wrong with the 3.5 Ecoboost powerplant, I have owned them in the past. My 5.0 choice was based on personal choice in going with natural asperation and offered HP/TQ. FWIW, I'm coming from a 2013 F350 crew cab dually diesel.
I just purchased a new 2019 XLT FX4 Crew with the 5.0. I did do a lot of reading and research trying to find out if the 2019 model year 5.0 exhibited the same oil consumption issues some trucks have experienced. What I found was...nothing out there to base an opinion on. That being said one of the more offered suggestions to keep the 2018 5.0 from eating excess oil was to break the motor in on the aggressive side to seat the rings properly.
I noticed that with the 10-speed transmission the RPMs would stay very low. So I was looking to get the RPMs into a higher range, but lets face it, if you punch the 5.0 with the 10-speed transmission you better have room to run because it will take off and keep on going as the speed climbs rapidly. Now, I use the "Sport" mode of the transmission to keep the RPM up while driving in town. Only down side that I have found it that acceleration can be on the jerky side as the transmission does hold gear much higher in the RPM range before shifting and then it does so with an aggressively hard shift compared to the default shift pattern.
I think that keeping the transmission in sport mode for the first couple thousand miles is probably a good idea, especially with the 10-speed transmission. I suspect there is not enough RPM range for the break in period. I don't know that as a fact, I am speculating.
Thanks for the input on the 2019 5.0s. I read around here and elsewhere and came to the same conclusion that the newer version (whatever that means exactly) does not have the oil consumption issue. I am looking at ordering from local Ford or traveling out to TX to get my 3.5 EB truck. Kind of want to avoid bringing a truck in from out of state as I want the local outfit to not hate me should I have an issue with it.

The service guys just want you to get it serviced there.
The new vehicle sales guys just want you to buy it there.
The used vehicle guys just want you to trade in your old vehicle there.
However, I've never had any issue with a service department that was due to me not buying the vehicle from them.
I'm sure they appreciate you doing everything there...but I wouldn't pass anything up just to buy from where I get my vehicle serviced.
They certainly won't hate you.
I know a lot of people who own an F150 5.0.
I have a lot of company trucks with the 5.0.
Still waiting to see one that has issues though.
We keep a log on company trucks of all fluids added, they use about a half liter of oil in 4500 kms on average.
When the oil gets to half way between full and add company policy is to top it off.
Which is why I see the oil added in half liter units.

That seems excessive to me.
For us in the U.S..
4500km = 2796 miles
.5 liter = .53 quart (almost one to one ratio)
....that is over 1.5 quarts of oil lost per oil change for me.
I'd probably freak out a bit if I was 1.5 quarts low. Maybe it's normal for Ford?

Oil is checked daily, and on every gas fill up on trips.
Never gets below halfway, so not ever low on oil.
Failure to do a complete and full pre trip inspection as required, by any employee, is grounds for termination.
I did a pre trip on my motorcycle this morning at the house, rode 8.5 kms to work, and looked it over again very carefully before riding it to lunch. Will look it over again before i leave the parking lot, and again later today before riding it home. Why, because it is my responsibility and mine alone to ensure that fluids are topped up, tires inflated properly, nothing is coming loose, lights all work, etc.
Maybe its the pilot in me, but even if i did a preflight and only flew 30 minutes. I do another pre flight before I would fly it again.
As a vehicle driver, I would hope the VERY MINIMUM you would open the hood and check the oil level is every gas stop. If not, why not?
