Tailgate step annoyance

That happens to mine when I drag stuff out of the bed across the tailgate. Poor design.

Is that step easy to access with the tailgate down? Also, does it sit lower than the tailgate step with both extended? I’m lifted - might be time for me to get one. Thanks again all.

Yes - the amp step sticks off to the side a bit. No idea how it compares to the stock step though.

AMP step works great with tailgate up or down. A little pricey, but very well designed and made. I have one on my 2008 Tundra, it has lasted for 11 years and still works perfectly. I will install one on every truck I own going forward.
