Recently in another thread someone was showing us their cupholders in their classic Fords. Here is what is use in my 55F350. It is a small plastic storage bin. I normally put my water jug in it when I am mowing and cover it with a towel. On my way to Lowe's I stuffed the towel in the bin and made a place for my Snapple.
Here are some pictures of the console/cup holder I have in the F3.
Because the '48-'52 seat is so short, it can't go in the middle of the seat without interfering with 2nd and 4th gear shifting. (look at where my shifter **** is for 4th gear) But it goes fine pushed over a bit to the passenger side.
I bought it on E-bay about a year ago. It's very good quality and the seller had a large array of stock material colors. He built them on demand for non-common colors like mine.
It cost about $150 with shipping and if desired can be strapped down to the seat. It came with a strap but I haven't used it yet. At first I thought it was a lot of money but then I remembered how my F2 didn't have cupholders and I spilled a root beer can on the new fabric and that stain never came out.
The bad news is that I can't find it for sale on E-Bay anymore. Maybe someone here can locate a seller based on the pictures here. If anyone can find it, I would recommend this type of console.

I'm using the 40/20/40 bench seat from a 2006 Dodge Dakota with the center 20% part from a 2000 Dakota. The 2000 Dakota center portion had a built-in cup holder which the 2006 did not. I picked the 2006 seat because the head rest is removable which it is not on the 2000 seat. Here is a picture of a 2000 seat in a 48-50 F1 and you can see the cup holder extended out with a cup in it.

This is the company CCE. They were at the Grand Nationals and probably will be at the Supers Nationals this fall. I was going to get one but none of their holders held my coffee cup. The cups for the drinks were either too big or too small
Picked this up from the parts store for $15, trimmed to fit ,added some structure support ( weight ) and padding. Wedges in nicely under the seat frame for stability and is easily reached and removable. Don't know about the splash factor yet but....
