Clutch slippage
Ok I have a 93 ford ranger 2.3l.I have a clutch slippage issue.I pulled the trans and expected to find some kind of problems but found nothing. I’ve inspected the parts and found the clutch disc had no issues all the wear lines are visible so I measured the depth of the wear lines and the result was 1.5 mm of lining left per side.the disc center spline hole is in great shape, the 4 coil springs shoe no wear and still have the factory red paint showing( note: this clutch set is less than 2 Yrs old) I then inspected the pressure plate the plate was shiny with no hotspots or bent broken fingers,placing it on a flat surface I determined it’s flat and true,also the plate had no scores or nicks. I proceeded to the slave cynder ,release bearing ,the slave goes in and out,the release bearing rotates properly with no signs of wear, moving unto the flywheel It is smooth and defect free.the only theory I have is the pressure plate was not properly tightened and allowing for a looser fitup welcome to any other theories
