6.7 Vacuum pump

My 2015 6.7 powerstroke was in for oil change this week. The dealership advised me that the vacuum pump mounted just behind the fan was leaking oil. When I ask if this was covered by warranty they advised they did a search and came back that there is no coverage for the vacuum pump. They also advised that the 6.7 has two vacuum pumps. They want just over $400 to replace the pump which comes with the seal attached. I have been trying to research to see if the two vacuum pump issue is true. And if just over $400 is a fair price.
Thanks in advance for all your help you guys are the best!!

Vacuum pump is part of the engine. It should be covered under Ford's 5 year/100,000 mile warranty on the 6.7 diesel engine as long as your truck is not past those limits.

Here's where it gets tricky. If the dealer calls the causal part the vacuum pump GASKET, the part IS covered by your 5/100 diesel engine component warranty. If they call the vacuum pump itself the causal part, then it is NOT covered your 5/100 diesel engine warranty. The part number from Ford for just the vacuum pump gasket by itself is BC3Z-2A572-A. For the vacuum pump with gasket, the part number is BRPV-22 (BC3Z-2A451-B).

If the pump on the front of the engine has not failed, my understanding it just needs the gasket replaced and bolts properly tightened.

When I posted about mine, m-chan68 provided the torque specs and further confirmation my leak was likely the vacuum pump. After seven years of use, all of the bolts were loose and I tightened the bolts in place, not replacing the gasket which is what another member (SavageNFS) had success doing.

I am aware this is not the correct repair but it repaired my issue and it has not leaked for two years. The bolts were still tight as of a month ago.
