Vacuum Pump

My 2014 250 has the notorious vacuum pump oil leak at 95K miles. I have it disassembled and waiting for Monday to buy the gasket. I'm replacing the serpentine, but would appreciate advice from anyone who's been here before on what else may fail in the near future. The vacuum pump itself? Coolant pump? Why are the vacuum pumps screws loosening?
Thanks

check your idler pulleys. They are not known for any premature wear but I'd have a look.

I torqued the vacuum pump bolts to the specified 89 in/lbs. That felt, to me, like a tiny bit more than finger tight. Went ahead and replaced the idlers and that faint chirp went away, thanks for the advice.

Everybody makes mistakes...

Kudos to the OP for admitting his slightly hilarious "oops". Hopefully, your vacuum pump forgives you. If it doesn't, its still not too big of a deal to fix it.

I know I haven't been immune to idiotic mistakes over the years. I thought I was topping off the power steering fluid on a previous truck once. Nope. It was the brake fluid resevior. Oops. I didn't even realize my mistake until days later, when I was checking the oil and noticed what the "PS fluid resevior" was sitting on top of. Lol

In my defense, I had just topped off the PS fluid in my commuter car. While I was at it, i figured I'd check the truck's PS fluid. The brake fluid resevior coincided with where the PS fluid was in the car. Luckily, nothing bad came of it after a thorough brake flush.

edit: speaking of idiotic mistakes, haha.

It would appear i replied to the related thread, below the one I was reading.
