Dudes Dudes Dudes, Stupid speech to text spelled axel wrong. OMG it did it again. I keep saying axel and it keeps spelling it axel. he he jk I did it on my laptop this am with a cof of cuppee in my hand.
I am surprised noone has made a reference to Guns and Roses. I mean C'mon.
Ok lesson learned. It is an Axle!
Still would like to know why it says wrong axle on it. I tried the locker this morning and it worked so it is an electronic locking axle. I believe it is the M275 as well. The only thing that could be wrong is it could be a 3.31 however the rpms seem to be correct and same as my 2015. Ill bring to my buddies shop and we will lift it and rotate tires and count driveshaft revolutions and determine if it is 3.55 or 3.31.
Thanks for the replies and the rips!!
All good!
Anyone that has any further info as to why that was written I'd still be anxious to know. Also my salesman said he forwarded my pics to his service manager. Not sure what he'll find out but I will share.
"Jamie's Got a Gun" and "Enter Sandman" are two of my favorite songs. How does your phone even know to spell Axel? My android doesn't. Guns n Roses.
Now, wut TH are you doing with an E-locker? My 350 drw with Eaton has LS. I thought the E-locker only came on Sterling diffs. It would be a really cool locker if it worked over 2.8 mph or whatever its limit is. Or better still, if it were LS until you decide to lock it entirely. Now that would be cool.
I bet your axle was in another truck, installed by accident, and they pulled it out to put it in your truck where it belongs. We owned an assembly line ourselves until not too long ago, you'd be amazed at the errors that occur. That's why there's an entire backup shop that does nothing but fix errors made on the line.
I’m betting that axle was put in the wrong truck before it made it in yours. Once the trucks come off the line, there is an area to correct goof ups. Basically a mechanic shop. Saw em swapping out rear ends on a brand new F-350 DRW that had just come off the line. A lot of the stuff we saw in 2016 were fixes because the line didn’t have the 2017s down pat yet as they were coming down the line for the first few times. Missing bolts on running boards, etc.
