1979 Dually Fenders?

Does anyone know where I can get a set of Dually add-on fenders for my 79 F350 longbox? I have missed out on a couple locally but have searched the internet for new pieces to no avail. Found a few listings in the search but no mention when I open the link.

Most from what I have seen is adaptation of the later model dually fenders.

They were an aftermarket option, indirect from ford, in the 70s. I could use something newer but the body lines are not the same. Missed out on a whole truck and still looking.

Consider using 61-66 Chevy Stepside fenders .. they look the part and dimensionally accurate although some sheetmetal work is necessary to fill in the Dent's dentside.

... purists need not comment. I get it.

I saw on instagram where a guy built dually fenders for a bumpside by grafting two front fenders of an f700 together. It looked super slick and original. Maybe the same could be done to a dent side? Other than that all the dually’s I’ve seen are either Chevy newer ford fenders

The f700 fenders welded together

Late model ford fenders

Hmmm this one is interesting

Square body Chevy dually fenders I think. Not my style build but an example of dually fenders nonetheless.

Just to clarify none of these trucks are mine, they’re just some builds I found on instagram

Ford didn't offer a DRW pickup (Styleside only) until 1980. All 1953/79 F350's with DRW's were sold as a Cab & Chassis or with factory installed flat & stake beds.

I sure like that 6 door with the F700 flares. They made dentside F700's too, wish they would have used a stretched dentside grill.

I do understand that part. Just saying that I know they were made in the aftermarket for these trucks and the E series. I looked at Arrowcraft and while they mention somewhere that they are available, They are not included in any of the listings. The same is with every other MFG. Just hoping that someone has had the luck in locating a MFG that currently has these listed as an available part. Or, if you will, someone has a set that they arent overly attached to.

That IS an interesting approach. Would be curious to see when finish work is applied. I am running full chrome. Pondering the idea of adding a set that mounts just below the upper chrome line.

I actually pulled the bed off and converted it back to single wheel. I’m not a fan of lifted drw trucks. Not sure where you are located but if it’s anywhere near Az you could have it lol. It’d be a great start.

Looks like he used patch panels. My bed is shot, I think I have a crack on my rear axle, and I have the a set of the same patch panels. Hummmmm.

That’s your truck? I just found a picture of it on instagram. I kinda like the idea. It looks to be the same shape as the later 80-97 dually fenders but keeps the dentside body lines

The TV show TruckTech built a 79 Ford crew cab ontop of a 96 dodge frame with a cummings. When the had to make dully fenders they wend with 50s era F1 rear fenders.

Turned out very esthetically pleasing if you ask me
