2006 explorer now reverse!

Picking up a 2006 explorer , real nice shape, only 150 k , has lost reverse. Could it be just a modual?

It is possible that the shift solenoids/valve body could be the cause of reverse not working. But it could also be a more serious issue internal to the transmission. With having pressure readings on the transmission itself it would be very difficult for someone to do anything more than speculate.

Just messed with it for a few minutes I can feel it tru to go into reverse and I hear something squeak underneath, I will investigate further as I have time ! Going camping this weekend and this is not that important 😜

so to update on the explorer i picked up for nothing, took it to a guy to check out the tranny, he bought it from me right there 3500.00 in my pocket !!!

No, that is NOT possible, No matter what the shift solenoids or other electronics are doing reverse is ALWAYS available, except when something mechanical breaks.
