1993 lightning?

Aloha every one, I have an opportunity to pick up a 93' lightning with no engine, overall everything else intact, it honestly caught my eye for the seats for my 96 powestroke,
but then I got thinking is it worth trying to preserve? are their other parts on there that might be worth something?

any info would be great.. seems the supercharger/heads are no longer available? were the hood's fiberglass or steel?

edit: well I did some research and apparently it has a cervini? cowl hood and an aftermarket front bumper.. would any body know if the seat's from a lightning would fit 1996 x-cab?
would need to fold forward.

A little late with a response, but it really depends on how much you are willing to spend on restoring it. Any OEM 5.8 F4TE block and crank will work, and you could technically use the same type of short-block assembly from a doner F-150/250. You can use all of the OEM roller cam parts (spider, lifters and dogbones) from any roller cam V8 engine, car or truck. This will allow you to use a roller cam, even though a stock GEN 1 Lightning came with a flat tappet bump stick. A popular "Speed-Density-Friendly" cam to use is one out of a 5.0 Mustang, installed with a 2 degree advance, and the factory ECU will run it. The factory intakes can be found, but be prepared to pay $500+ for both the upper and lower. Otherwise, you'll be looking at aftermarket pieces like Trick Flow. With the factory Speed Density EFI, you'll be limited as to what you can do; bolt-ons are no problem, with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. However, if you want to get a little more radical with the cam and/or heads, or some type of power adder, then you're going to need some type of aftermarket tuning, or, aftermarket EFI system and a Wideband O2.
I've found LMC and Late Model Restoration to be use in finding parts for these rigs, otherwise it's the internet searches and sometimes ebay.

As for the seats, I've never tried putting them in a F-150/250, but I would tend to think that it would work since there really isn't any significant difference between the cab structure between all of those.

Thanks for the info Blurry94

Gosh, makes me feel bad about even thinking of taking the seats out and scraping it.
there is some rust, obviously around the windshield and back of cab and of course the bed nothing unusual for these years,

the GT-40 heads aren't that special in terms of flow?

are the 5.8 's are easily obtainable ?

a bit of a different language for me coming from the diesel world.

Are you looking to restore it to original or rebuild/modify it?

not too sure, I might end up parting it out if It looks to bad, Would any of the running gear be worth something? its definitely beyond restoring it to original , stock bumper/grille and a few other parts are already missing
I'm picking it up this Thursday, so I can share some pics when I get it home.
