It’s on a 72 f100 ranger xlt. My father in law said the truck came with beefier rear suspension and a 360 engine. Is this a camper mount? Or was it for antennas? The truck is 100% original as his dad (the owner who has since passed) was into modifying his trucks.
Would that "HD" suspension be the Flex o Matic?
Look at the rear spring bushing area. Does it have a cantilever arm built into it? That helps push down the spring, effectively shortening it and making it stiffer with a load on.
