Speaker Bracket / Radio Bracket 1967 F100

I am restoring a 67 f100 flareside and I found an original Bendix speaker that I had reconded. Will a dash speaker bracket from a 1970 fit my 67?

If not, any source for the bracket? Also, looking for an original bracket for the radio. Thanks

Unknown. Can't tell by Ford micro-fische. 1967 speaker bracket was only serviced in a radio, speaker, etc install kit. The 1968 and up was sold separate or in a 1968 and up kit. (BRACKET C8TZ18815A). Looking at Ford's drawing of the 2 kits exploded the 67 and 68/ brackets are shaped the same but different reference numbers are pointing at them. You would have to take out your glove box and try the 1970 bracket. Nobody shows the 1967 radio bracket/faceplate. (C7TZ18842A). Suggest you watch EBAY for all the above.

I saw one that came from a 1970 and took a chance on it. At the very least, will have a starting point if I need to fab. Here's a picture of the 67 speaker that I recently had reconed:

Looking at Ford's (parts catalog) drawing of the 2 kits exploded, the 67 (left) and 68/72 (right) brackets are shaped the same but different reference numbers are pointing at them.

Here are some pictures of a complete 67 radio, face plate, speaker, speaker bracket, 67 correct radio ***** and radio bracket.

Now here are speaker brackets, the black one is for the 67. The dirty grey one came out of a 70 f100 The dirty grey one I compared to one I have from a 69 and they were both identical. Which leads me to believe that the 67 speaker bracket is also different than the 68-72 Will it work? I would say yes, but I would look for a correct one. That's just me.

I'm sure the 70 bracket will work. I believe the brackets are different due to the size comparison of the radios. The 67 radio is actually smaller than the 68-72 radios. I'll see if I have a 67 speaker bracket that isn't spoken for.

does the speaker bracket also mount directly onto the radio or somewhere else?

The bracket has a screw hole, the bracket gets mounted in the opening of the radio hole on top. Once you place the speaker and bracket in it's position lift up, you'll see where it mounts. The radio gets mounted after speaker and bracket are in place.

This picture may help you. Notice the mounting ears for the radio. See where the screw goes?

Thanks for the picture. I noticed that the prior owner cut the ears off. I wonder if I am going to be able to install my radio without the ears?

Any ideas besides finding a donor and welding new ones?

Just fab up your own ears. Why would you need a donor. None of this will be seen once the face plate is on.
