Torque Prp APP
But nevertheless you have the best scan tool available. Simply because it gives you the flexibility to ADD another PID or EDIT its formula and create a gauge for ANYTHING = if you can find the PID for the sensor or parameter. I've located and worked out Torque formulas for several useful temperatures on my 2004 Lariat 5.4L. Some in Torque's stock list and some aren't, but shoud work on your '05.
IF your truck has an OIL TEMP sensor (and not all of them do), it will read in volts. And the voltage / temperature curve is a _BITCH KITTY_ to match. I worked out = what's called a quad spline polynominal that tracks the curve pretty good between about 32º and 245ºF, and display both volts & temp to compare against the Temp chart in the Motorcraft OBDII Theory of Operation Manual.
Torque Pro Temperatures Dashboard
If you wish to build a Torque Pro Temperature monitoring dashboard like this (For 2004-2008 5.4L F150 - and possibly other models) the relevant PIDs must be entered in their corresponding fields exactly like they appear in the attached 'CSV' file.
I have also posted detailed descriptions and the PID entry information in long format here: https://www.f150forum.com/f4/torque-...1/#post5339202
The '.csv' file can be downloaded and copied (unchanged) into the .Torque/extendedpids folder on an android device. Then you can 'imported' the PIDs directly into Torque extended PID file. Go to to >settings, >Manage Extra PIDs/gauges - press Menu and select >ADD PREDEFINED LIST and the CSV file name should appear for importing. After that, the PIDS will appear in scroll window for adding the gauges to an available torque dashboard.
